David J Coombes joins ABX as new Quality Director and QE Manager

ABX Engineering, Inc. is a 25-year-old ISO 9001-2008 approved contract electronics manufacturer which targets prototype NPI, medium to large sized projects, providing coast to coast coverage with offices in San Francisco, San Diego and Charlotte, NC. David J Coombes has joined ABX as Quality Director and Quality Engineering Manager.

Mr. Coombes has held several senior management positions within UK Defense and Fortune 100 companies, including Thorn EMI, Plessey, Applied Materials and Oracle, covering quality management, supplier quality, process improvement, internal audit an customer satisfaction activities. More recently his roles have focused on Compliance Programs including a variety of ISO Standards such as ISO 9000 / 14000 / 27000 as well as PCI-DSS, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and SAS 70.

In addition to his time in the corporate world, David has spent many years as a Management Consultant in Europe and the USA helping clients in a number of industries within the manufacturing and service sectors (ranging from Air Traffic Control to Automotive to Sheet Metal Fabrication to Software Development) to improve their business processes, management systems and to drive ISO 9001 / QS9000 registration programs. David's addition to our senior management team will benefit our customers, staff and our bottom line, we are very pleased to have David on the ABX team."
