ABX begins ISO 13485 Certification

ABX Engineering, Inc. is a 25-year-old ISO 9001-2008 approved contract electronics manufacturer which targets prototype NPI, medium to large sized projects, providing coast to coast coverage with offices in San Francisco, San Diego and Charlotte, NC. ABX has started the process of ISO 13485 Medical Manufacturing Certification.

ISO 13485 Certification focuses on the five key sections including, the Quality Management System, Management Responsibility, Resource Management, Product Realization and Measurement, Analysis & Improvement.

ABX Senior Vice President Brian Helm stated, "ABX is working to expand production capabilities for our customers by adding additional certifications to allow us to provide products supporting additional applications in the medical category. ABX has had a strong presence in the medical research products production area for the last 10 years, working with customers providing cutting edge technology in areas like DNA research. With ISO 13485 Certification we will be able to further support out accounts participating in additional categories of electronic medical product production"

ABX has been ISO 9001 certified since 2000 and completed ISO 2001-2008 certification in July of 2009. ABX expects to complete ISO 13485 Certification by the third quarter of this year.
